Fees (inclusive of GST):
Early Bird (Up to 31 August 2006 ) AUD$550 per person
Full Conference (from 1 September to 20 October 2006 ) AUD$700 per person
Single Day Registration Fee AUD$350 per person
Full time Student fee AUD $350 per student

Those attending the conference must complete a registration form and return it with full payment to the Symposium Secretariat, GPO Box 2455 , Darwin NT 0801. Fees are quoted in Australian Dollars and include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The registration fee includes attendance to all conference sessions, lunches, morning and afternoon teas, Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner (cash bar in operation for drinks and delegates will be responsible for purchasing their own drinks).

Payment can be made by the following methods:

• Bank cheque in Australian dollars drawn on an Australian bank
• Personal or Company cheque (Australian delegates only) made payable to “2006 Desert Knowledge Symposium”

Cancellation of Registrations

• Cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the Symposium Secretariat,
• Cancellations received ON or BEFORE 1 October 2006 will incur an administration fee of $50.00.
• No registration fee refunds will be made for cancellations made after the 1 October. Substitute delegates are welcome. Please advise the Symposium Secretariat in writing.

Social Program

Welcome Reception – Wednesday 1 November 2006
A complimentary welcome reception will be held at the Alice Springs Convention Centre on 1 November 2006 from 6.00pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday, 1 November 2006 . An RSVP is essential.

Conference Dinner – Thursday 2 November 2006
The conference dinner will be held at the Alice Springs Convention Centre on Thursday 2 November 7.30pm to 10.30pm . The cost of the dinner is included in the full registration fee and covers the meal only. Delegates will be responsible for purchasing their own drinks. An RSVP is essential if attending the dinner. Additional tickets for partners and guests is $42 per person.

The Convention Centre is a 10 minute drive from the Alice Spring Airport and 1.5 kms from the centre of the town. Hotel accommodation offered for this conference is located mostly on the same street and a short distance from the Alice Springs Convention Centre with the exception of Alice Springs Resort being just a short taxi ride away.
