Transcript The video clip below may take a few seconds to load depending on how many people are accessing it at the same time. The video features Hugh Lovesy and Stewart Blyth of Littlefish-Pangaea,
and Lucky Morton from Urapuntja Health Clinic. Hugh Lovesy: Be aware that you are going to face some difficulties but to use them as a stimulus to produce a product that is really special. Stewart Blyth: I came to work here because the organisation I worked for was a client of the Money Story some years back, and I saw the value in the product then, and felt that I could actually contribute something towards expanding the business and promoting a product that actual works to empower aboriginal people to take control of their own financial affairs on communities. Hugh Lovesy: Our basic product is 'Information with integrity.' And the core product we produce is a product called or nicknamed the Money Story, and it's about presenting financial information really clearly to people, and we do that because money is the source of power and if people are going to have real power they need to understand what their money is and how it works, and how they can control it. Lucky Morton: Money story, little bit full one, empty one, wages full one, no empty one. This one, ambulance, empty one, no money. Not happy. Hugh Lovesy: For us the key factor
of being successful revolves around being really innovative, and secondly
giving very high quality service to our clients and thirdly keeping that
market well informed about what we do. We have good networks outside Alice
Springs now and we have an advisory board with people on it from Tasmania,
Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, and we have got to keep our links. Desert
Knowledge is about keeping links from the desert to the mainstream. |
