"I believe my business has benefited greatly from its association with Outback Business Networks. A good example of this was the OBN Mining Expo held in Tennant Creek (NT) early in 2011. Through my membership with OBN and attending the expo, I was able to meet directly with two new mines in the Barkly region and have since set up supply accounts with both. This will have great financial benefits to my business in the next 12-18 months."

The Auscott Civil experience
Outback Business Networks' Business Champions Jim Bowe and Rob Collins run Auscott Civil, a contracting company comprises of three subsidiary companies specialising in civil engineering, earth moving, pipe supply welding and fitting, as well as traffic control for road work projects. Their head office is in Townsville with major contracts also coming out of Cloncurry and the North West region.
“Thanks to Desert Knowledge Australia Outback Business Networks a number of organisations were able to display their capabilities at the Energy and Resources Symposium. The response of mining and resource companies was amazing. MQP Service made some great contacts and networks.”
Joel Butcher, Mine Quarry and Plant Services, Broken Hill, Far West NSW
“Being a part of OBN helps us keep up to date with new developments in the Creative Industries across regional Australia and provides us with the opportunity to connect and learn from other regional artists and art groups.
Likewise we supply information about our activities to OBN, to help attract businesses and organisations interested in our projects. For example, recently we received overwhelming support for one of our 2012 partnership projects, the Desert Equinox Solar Art Exhibition, with 12 local businesses offering their in-kind and financial support.
Without DKA OBN it would have been very difficult for us to contact the businesses interested in this opportunity.”
